本规程适用于10层及10层以上或房屋高度大于28m的住宅建筑以及房屋高度大于24m的其他高层民用建筑钢结构的设计、制作与安装。非抗震设计和抗震设防烈度为6度至9度抗震设计的高层民用建筑钢结构，其适用的房屋最大高度和结构类型应符合本规程的有关规定。 本规程不适用于建造在危险地段以及发震断裂最小避让距离内的高层民用建筑钢结构。
